It’s been a long journey, but an enjoyable one. My first novel Through the Fog is a Romantic Suspense. It takes you on a journey with Adalind, a nurse from Queens, New York, who is asked to travel to England. She arrives not knowing completely what to suspect. What she was told, and what actually is, are two different things. It seems the only thing that her boss got right was that, yes, he is a Duke and he is in a coma. But, how she found him could be described as dishonorable.
Adalind feels a newfound responsibility for the Duke, Evan Jacob Frederick. She spends her days undoing what the other nurses neglectedto do for him and reports back to Shelly, her boss. She was only supposed to be there for a week, but feels the need to see this through despite her responsibilities back home to see if there is a chance of him waking up. Right now, all seems bleak.
To her dismay, Evan eventually wakes confused and disoriented. She introduces him to therapy in hopes that he can get his old life back. Feelings blossom between the two as Adalind tries in squelch any budding romance. But like most romances, life gets in the way. Is this something they can both get past? And why didn’t the Duke of Warlington have the best of care? Adalind is determined to find out with or without anyone’s help…but secrets and new revelations keep on coming.
I have been MIA from the blog world lately – because I’ having a C-section on Monday, and the last few weeks have been rough pregnancy-wise. Cannot wait to meet baby #2 – another boy in just a few days!!
I anticipate I will also not be around much next week, while I’m in the hospital. I do plan on posting my “Authors Share Your Work” post as scheduled on December 1st, it just might take me a few days longer to update than normal.
Thanks for understanding. Happy blogging 🙂
